In 1947, Al Fadelli started a small concrete business in Berkeley, California working out of the basement of his home. He began by doing city sidewalks, residential driveways and patios. Over the next 15 years, he built a solid cliental base and established lasting relationships in the community. His commitment to hard work paved the way for the next generation, and by 1962 Al’s two sons joined him in the business and the company began to grow.
Following in their father’s footsteps, Ron and Andy took over the business in 1980 at which time they began to expand into the commercial and industrial market making Berkeley Cement a strong competitor in the construction industry.
Today, Berkeley Cement remains a family business along with non-family members in active leadership roles positioning the company for the future. They continue to maintain the work ethic as displayed by past generations and believe that in order to remain successful; they must focus on their core values: Communication, Teamwork, Quality, Respect and Integrity.
